The symptoms that a person can present with is heartburn, which has nothing to do with heart It feels like a burning sensation They may have some choking sensation They can have burning along the sternum They can epigastric pain

Other silent features are you can have gag reflux You can have a lumpy feeling in the throat You can also have bronchospasm causing shortness of breath You can have recurring pneumonia Many of these symptoms are un-recognized

We call it silent reflux
